IN HUNGARY, JULY 2 IS THE TRADITIONAL FEAST OF THE VISITATION , when the Blessed Mother visited Elizabeth.  It is also the the feast of thanksgiving for the year’s bountiful harvest.

TODAY — In addition to celebrating our American Independence Day, we will have a Transylvanian style dinner and slide show presentation of our this year’s Csiksomlyo Pilgrimage. A student dance group from Keszthely will perform after dinner.  The “Tündérrózsa” Dance Group was founded in  1991 and in 2004 the Ranolder Roman Catholic School of Keszthely assumed the name of „The Tünderrózsa Children’s  Dance Group”.  We extend our warmest welcome to the group as they visit our city, Cleveland, and our St. Emeric Parish this weekend.

July 4 — The United States of America declared its independence from Great Britain in 1776.  As we celebrate this historical event, let us ask our Heavenly Father to bless all the diverse peoples living here as together they build this great country.  At the same time, let us also remember to build the kingdom of heaven.

LOOKING AHEAD-PLEASE SAVE THE DATE:

August 19 and 20 Feastday of St. Stephen — our two-day Hungarian Festival on site here.  Let us live and share with the community the many aspects of our wonderful Hungarian-American heritage and culture.  Details will be forthcoming.
