AUGUST 18-19 ST. STEPHEN DAY HUNGARIAN FESTIVAL AT OUR CHURCH GROUNDS.
The festivities on Saturday include entertainment and delicious foods for sale from noon, live music all day, performances by artists from Hungary and by our local Harmonia Ensemble and Hungarian Scout Folk Dance Ensemble and Mass at 5PM. On Sunday the Festival closes with Mass at 11AM celebrated by Most Reverend Nelson J. Perez, Bishop of Cleveland, and agapé afterwards. Also, if you have any decorative items or folk art items (downsizing) that you wish to part with and that we could sell at our bazaar table, please consider donating it by bringing to church next 2 Sundays and placing them into the Craft Club Room or contact Rose Prisko 440-808-9483, Anci Patay 440-835-4480 or Orsolya Sedensky 330-963-7035. If you would like to become a Festival Patron, forms are available in the back of the church. Also, ask a business/store where you shop, if they would like to be a sponsor, or disburse festival flyers.
TODAY there will be a meeting after Mass to discuss details of our upcoming Festival and to finalize plans. All volunteers willing to work are welcome!
FEST 2018: See you at the Fest! Join us today on the grounds of the Center for Pastoral Leadership (28700 Euclid Ave. in Wickliffe) from 12 noon – 10pm for The Fest. Come to hear great music (We are Messengers, Mandisa, Big Daddy Weave, and TobyMac), enjoy activities for the entire family, join thousands for Mass at 8pm with Bishop Perez, and experience the event of the summer. There is plenty of close parking and something for everyone. See you at The Fest! Followed by an incredible American Fireworks display. Check out all the details online at: www.theFEST.us.
THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS: will be offered every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th (if there is one) Saturday every month at 9 A.M. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary. I granted permission to Fr. Bede O.S.B. to transfer his Mass from the Monastery to the parish church in lieu of adequate space and accommodation for the faithful. This move also offers an opportunity to train local clergy in the ancient rite and train grade school and high school youth in serving the Mass. The church is on the Historical Record as the Mother Church for Hungarians in North East Ohio.
