TUESDAY, AUGUST 15, FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, a holy day of obligation.  Please note that Mass time is evening 7 PM. In 1950, Pope Pius XII. declared the dogma of our faith that the incorrupt body of the Blessed Mother was assumed into heaven.  According to the chronicles, it is also on this day, August 15, that St. Stephen of Hungary placed the Hungarian nation under the protection of the Blessed Mother and he also died on this day in 1038.
