WARMEST WELCOME TO MOST REV. NELSON PEREZ, BISHOP OF CLEVELAND DIOCESE.  We thank you, Bishop, for honoring us with your presence today at St. Emeric’s on the greatest Hungarian national holiday, St. Stephen’s Day.

WE CELEBRATE ST. STEPHEN DAY TODAY remembering the king, the apostle, and the saint, on the most significant Hungarian national holiday, the founding and continuation of the Hungarian nation with its Christian identity.

HUNGARIAN FESTIVAL AT OUR  ST. EMERIC CHURCH GROUNDS.  Saturday was the day for live music, good foods, entertainments, dancing. On Sunday, today, we honor St. Stephen, first king of Hungary, with Mass celebrated by Most Rev. Nelson J. Perez and afterwards closing of festival with agapé in church hall.

63RD HUNGARIAN SCOUT FESTIVAL-SEPTEMBER 2 at German Central Park, Parma, OH. For details, please see flyers in back or visit website www.csbk.org . Mass will be celebrated there at 11 AM.

THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS: will be offered every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th   (if there is one) Saturday every month at 9 A.M. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary.  I granted permission to Fr. Bede O.S.B. to transfer his Mass from the Monastery to the parish church in lieu of adequate space and accommodation for the faithful.  This move also offers an opportunity to train local clergy in the ancient rite and train grade school and high school youth in serving the Mass.  The church is on the National Historical Registry as the Mother Church for Hungarians in North East Ohio.

TODAY SECOND COLLECTION:  For Catholic Education, teaching our faith and Christian values to the young of our society.  Please be generous for this most important calling of the Church.
