ANNIVERSARY OF THE FATIMA APPARITIONS: On May 13, 1917, in the diocese of Fatima, Portugal, three children, 10 year old Lucia, nine year old Francis, and seven year old Jacinta, were watching their flock when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to them. Today we ask Our Blessed Mother to protect and pray for us, for our nation, and for the whole world.
TODAY — OUR TRADITIONAL MAY CROWNING and FIRST HOLY COMMUNION. We wish many blessings and graces on the children who will be receiving Holy Communion at St. Emeric for the first time. Coffe and „kalács” afterwards.
TODAY – MOTHERS’ DAY : May God bless all mothers. We wish them true happiness in the company of their loving family.
PARISH FIELD TRIP: We are organizing a 2-day excursion to Michigan on June 23-24. We leave Saturday at 7AM and arrive in Frankenmuth, „Michigan’s Little Bavaria” for sightseeing, lunch, winery visit, and evening dinner in Detroit’s Hungarian Rhapsody Restaurant. Lodging at nearby hotel. Sunday- Mass at Holy Cross Hungarian Church at 11 AM, light agapé afterwards. We will also visit the Henry Ford Museum and arrive back home Sunday evening. Travel will be by comfortable motorcoach. Approximate cost $270.per person, all inclusive. To make reservations, please call Marika Zsula at 216-676-5863 by June 3.
NEXT SUNDAY – PENTECOST – GOULASH DINNER. After Mass, we will continue to celebrate the “birth of the Church” with a goulash dinner social in the parish hall. We ask, if you are able, to bring for dessert some pastry or fruit to share. There is no need to make reservations, just come and join your parishioners in the celebration.
MAY 27 – MEMORIAL REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR HOMELAND: Mass at 11Am at St. Emeric Church and commemorative program at 1PM in Sunset Memorial Park Chapel. (6265 Columbia Rd.)
