OUR TRADITIONAL MAY CROWNING OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, May 14.  Please consider participating in this special way of showing our respect to Our Blessed Mother. We cordially invite the youth, the Scouts, and members of the Regös to take part in the procession as they have always done before.

MOTHER’S DAY DINNER— May 14. Come join us for a typical Hungarian dinner to celebrate Mother’s Day:  traditional beef goulash (pörkölt) with egg farvel (tarhonya), salad, and filled crèpe suzette (palacsinta with apricot filling). Donation $17. for adults and free for children students.  What a nice way to celebrate this feast so dear to our hearts. To make reservations, please call by May 11 one of the ladies:

THE DIOCESAN CATHOLIC CHARITIES CAMPAIGN of the Diocese is asking for your support to help the needy in our diocese.  The envelopes for this can be found in the back of the church and in the pews.  You can either make a one time contribution or make a pledge to pay in installments.  Please be generous. Our parish goal is set at $2,200.  Please be sure that our parish name and your name are on the envelope. Thank you for your generosity and kindness for the needy in the Diocese.

PRAYER SERVICE FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY CANCER ON SATURDAY, MAY 7 at 7PM at MARY QUEEN OF PEACE church at 4423 Pearl Road in Cleveland.  A reception will follow.  Call 216-749-2323 for more information.

Looking ahead-— The Chicago Hungarian Consulate will hold “Hungarian Consul Days” in Cleveland on May 5 and 6 beginning at 9AM,  for the residents in the Cleveland area.  On May 5, they will be at the First Reformed Church, 14530 Alexander Rd., Walton Hills, OH 44116, and on May 6 at St. Emeric Church, Mindszenty Room, 1860 West 22nd St.  In addition to residency and citizenship affairs, various other questions can be addressed.  To make appointments (which are necessary) and for further information, the Chicago Consulate can be reached by e-mail at mission.chi@mfa.gov.hu or by telephone (312) 344-1290.
