FROM THE DESK OF FR. BONA: Today we light the fourth candle which is of purple color and it symbolizes peace. It reminds us of the message of the angels: “Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will.” In this bulletin, you will find the upcoming Christmas Season Mass Schedule. One note on this schedule: Christmas Eve Mass at St. Elizabeth will be at 8PM and here at St. Emeric at 11PM. The current “curfew order” does not apply to religious observances and First Amendment protected speech. In other words, the order does not apply to faithful who are attending Mass after 10pm on Christmas Eve. Nevertheless, those who do not like to stay out late, have the opportunity to attend an earlier Vigil Mass at St. Elizabeth.

On a personal note, I would like to thank you for your prayers for my healing. I appreciate your kindness. I do NOT have Covid, but I have sickness that requires a longer recovery. Also, I am grateful for the priests who have substituted here, Frs. Yanus and Schlegel, in my absence. I will still not have daily Mass this upcoming week, but I am hoping to be able to celebrate the Christmas Masses. May God reward your kind-heartedness! Fr. Bona

The Blessing of the Bambinelli is this weekend.
