Pius p\u00e1pa, a Szentsz\u00e9k id\u0151beli szuverenit\u00e1sa elleni l\u00e1zad\u00e1s k\u00f6zepette, elrendelte, hogy a p\u00e1pai \u00e1llamokban celebr\u00e1lt mis\u00e9ket h\u00e1rom \u00dcdv\u00f6zl\u00e9gy, egy \u00dcdv\u00f6zl\u00e9gy Kir\u00e1lyn\u00e9, egy vers \u00e9s egy v\u00e1lasz, valamint egy z\u00e1r\u00f3ima k\u00f6vesse. M\u00e1s orsz\u00e1gokban nem tette k\u00f6telez\u0151v\u00e9 ezeket az im\u00e1kat. 1884-ben azonban XIII. Le\u00f3 p\u00e1pa k\u00f6telez\u0151v\u00e9 tette ezeket az im\u00e1kat, \u00e9s 1886-ban az \u00fajonnan \u00f6ssze\u00e1ll\u00edtott Szent Mih\u00e1ly im\u00e1t is belefoglalta. Ennek az im\u00e1nak az eredete a XIII. Le\u00f3 pr\u00f3f\u00e9tai l\u00e1tom\u00e1s\u00e1hoz k\u00f6t\u0151dik, az egyh\u00e1z \u00e9s az emberis\u00e9g elleni megn\u00f6vekedett s\u00e1t\u00e1ni t\u00e1mad\u00e1sok a k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 \u00e9vsz\u00e1zadban. Ezeket az im\u00e1kat hivatalosan az 1964. szeptember 26-i <em>Inter Oecumenici<\/em> rendelkez\u00e9s megsz\u00fcntette, amely 1965. m\u00e1rcius 7-\u00e9n l\u00e9pett hat\u00e1lyba.<\/p>\n<p>Az elm\u00falt \u00e9vtizedben azonban Szent Mih\u00e1ly im\u00e1ja \u00fajj\u00e1\u00e9ledt az Egyh\u00e1zban. Az Egyh\u00e1z helyzete (bel\u00fclr\u0151l \u00e9s k\u00edv\u00fclr\u0151l \u00e9rt t\u00e1mad\u00e1sok), valamint a h\u00e1bor\u00fakkal \u00e9s erk\u00f6lcsi korrupci\u00f3val s\u00fajtott vil\u00e1g sok p\u00fcsp\u00f6k\u00f6t motiv\u00e1lt arra, hogy visszahozz\u00e1k, \u00e9s \u00fajb\u00f3l n\u00e9pszer\u0171s\u00edts\u00e9k ezt a gyakorlatot. Sz\u00e1mtalan pl\u00e9b\u00e1nia (k\u00f6zt\u00fck egyh\u00e1zmegy\u00e9nk bel\u00fcl is) gyakorlatba hozta ezt. Val\u00f3j\u00e1ban nem \u00fagy t\u0171nik, hogy a gonosz t\u00e1mad\u00e1sai al\u00e1bbhagytak volna. A vil\u00e1g rosszabb helyzetben van, mint XIII. Le\u00f3 idej\u00e9ben volt.
