TODAY-YOUTH MASS. Welcome back to all from the many interesting summer activities. Today the youth are assisting at the Mass celebration and we look forward to their and their parent’s attendance every Sunday of the year. Also, after Mass today all are invited to an agapé recognizing all those whose birthday is in the month of September.

- EMERIC PARISH HARVEST FESTIVAL DINNER –OCTOBER 9, 12:45 PM, sponsored by the Altar Guild. New menu: cream of butternut squash soup, stuffed cabbage, meat cordon bleu, sides, coffee, and the dessert is a unique specialty called “vargabéles” . Dinner is $20., students $12., and for children under 7 free. SUNDAY OCTOBER 2 we will remember the Hungarian Bishop, Áron Márton (1896-1980), who was a victim of communist persecution in Transylvania and by his exemplary behavior is a model for all persons of faith. We will light candles in his remembrance followed by a 25 minute documentary film and light agapé in our church hall.
LOOKING AHEAD: PLANNED PILGRIMAGE TO CSÍKSOMLYÓ (Transylvania) IN 2017. The day at the shrine itself is Saturday, June 3. If you are thinking about participating, please make your intention known as soon as possible.
