BAPTISM: Yesterday Wyatt Michael Dezső received the Sacrament of Baptism in our church. Let us pray for him that he may enjoy the spiritual graces for his salvation as a child of God, and pray for his parents that they may raise him with good example.
TODAY YOUTH MASS with the participation of the Török Emsemble. Warmest welcome to all! Everyone is cordially invited to the agapé following Mass to celebrate those whose birthdays were in the summer months and in September.
HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS to Edit and John Juhasz on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary! May God shower them abundantly with blessings and may their love for each other and for all those in their lives continue to grow.
FUNERAL MASS THURSDAY , SEPT. 21 at 5PM for the soul of Elizabeth Simon. A long time parishioner, she was a faithful member of both the Mindszenty Choir and the St. Emeric Church Choir. We especially remember her for her vast knowlege of and passion for singing the Hungarian liturgical as well as worldly songs and of course her dedication to the many church dinners she so proudly made. The Juhasz family cordially invite everyone to join them after the Mass in the church hall for a light agapé. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Emeric Church. Interment will be private.
TOMORROW, Monday at 7 PM, concert by the „Török Testvérek” . Details can be found on the posters and flyers displayed.
OCTOBER 1, SUNDAY. St. Emeric Annual Harvest Festival dinner at 5 p.m., followed by the Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble at 6 p.m. The concert by star performer Fenyő Miklós will start at 7 p.m, followed by Retro D.J. László Bohár at 8:15p.m. Menu: Hungarian style onion soup with croutons, crispy roasted duck, wine braised red cabbage with apples, puff pastry with pears poached in white wine, with toasted walnuts.
