St. Emeric Annual Harvest Festival dinner at 5 p.m., followed by the Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble at 6 p.m. The concert by star performer Fenyő Miklós will start at 7 p.m, followed by Retro D.J. László Bohár at 8:15p.m. Menu: Hungarian style onion soup with croutons, crispy roasted duck, wine braised red cabbage with apples, puff pastry with pears poached in white wine, with toasted walnuts. CATHOLIC CHARITIES CAMPAIGN: St. Emeric Parish has reached its designated goal with total of $2,042-, and 22 parishioners participating. May God reward you abundantly for your generosity! It is still not too late to donate, if you wish, by using the designated envelopes in the pews. The charity helps those most in need.
- ELIZABETH PARISH 125TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2017. Solemn Mass at 11AM followed by banquet in the Boehm Hall. Reservations must be made for the banquet by calling Mary Spisak (330-487-1800) or Ilonka Hudak (440-944-1384). Cost of banquet per person is $30, and students $15. You are asked to focus on the prayerful aspect and religious significance of this event as well as the Hungarian mission of the oldest parish in N. America.
St. John the Baptist Parish will celebrate its 125th anniversary today Sept. 24. The celebration for the oldest parish in the Eparchy of Parma will begin with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the church at 3 p.m. A banquet will follow at St. Eugene Hall, 264 Warrensveille Center Road, Bedford, Ohio. All are welcome.
