THANK YOU for all your kind Easter wishes, the delicious foods, the cards and gifts. I was very happy that together with you we were able to celebrate the glorious Feast of the Resurrection in church last Sunday.
NEXT SUNDAY — MONTHLY YOUTH MASS. We are looking forward to youth participation in the Mass. Light refreshments afterwards to celebrate the April birthdays.
SUNDAY MISSALS IN ENGLISH are in the church to enable those to follow the liturgy who don’t speak Hungarian.
CATHOLIC CHARITIES: The Diocesan Catholic Charities campaign has started and is an ongoing appeal throughout the year. “Your support of the 2016 Catholic Charities Appeal is an act of mercy that will change lives of your brothers and sisters in Christ. We appreciate your donation and will take special care to use it wisely in providing essential programs and services to people in need.” Please use the special envelopes found in the back of the church, and in filling out all the information, please write in our parish name, St. Emeric Parish. Please give generously! Thank you! You can send in your donation directly, or place the designated envelope in the Sunday collection basket.
LOOKING AHEAD— His excellency Bishop Dr. Ferenc Cserháti, on his North American tour, will be visiting St. Emeric Parish between April 21-26 and on Sunday, April 24, he will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation. We invite all to dinner after the April 24 Sunday Mass. The dinner information follows:
INVITATION— Parish Spring Dinner — April 24 following the Sunday Mass. Menu: asparagus cream soup, ragout of pork with egg barley side, pickles, zserbó (Gerbaud) slice, a Hungarian specialty dessert, and coffee.
