NOVEMBER 1, TUESDAY, FEAST OF ALL SAINTS, A HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION. Evening Mass at 7PM.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO MADE LAST SUNDAY’S ’56 COMMEMORATION SUCH A TRULY MEMORABLE EVENT. It was inspiring to see the church filled to capacity in memory of the1956 Freedom Fight and its heroes.

LOOKING AHEAD: PLANNED PILGRIMAGE TO CSÍKSOMLYÓ (Transylvania) IN 2017.  The day at the shrine itself is Saturday, June 3.  If you are thinking about participating, please make your intention known as soon as possible by calling Rectory.

TODAY – ALTAR GUILD  MEETING after Mass.  All members are expected and all ladies are most welcome to come and join.

OUR ST.EMERIC FEAST DAY CELEBRATION – NEXT SUNDAY–, November 6.  Principal celebrant and guest speaker will be Dr. Gyula Márfi, Archbishop of Veszprém, Hungary.  After Mass our feast day dinner will consist of a true Hungarian menu:  traditional rich chicken soup, chicken paprikásh with dumplings (nokedli), cucumber salad, and apple and cheese strudel, coffee. Cost is $20., and for students $12., and under 7 free.  Dinner reservations must be made by Wednesday, November 2, by calling one of the ladies: Marika  Zsula 216-676-5863, Orsolya Sedenszky 330-963-7035 or Piri Beodray 440-356-8985.  Since our beautiful new round tables seat 8 guests and some 9, please let the ladies know if you have a seating group preference. In addition, preorders can also be made for a whole strudel at $12. each to be picked up either Saturday after the 5PM Mass, or Sunday.  Also, preorders are accepted for pick up after the Sunday dinner for complete take-out dinners at $20., or for a 1-liter container of soup at $7., one slice of strudel at $3., or a container of just “nokedli” at $4.
