WELCOME TO ALL GUESTS WHO ARE ATTENDING THE SCOUT B ANQUET and supporting the important work of preserving our Hungarian traditions through scouting.
ASH WEDNESDAY, MARCH 1, IS THE B EGINNING OF LENT. Ash Wednesday is a day of Fast for all persons 14 – 60 years of age. Only one full meal and two smaller meals may be consumed. Ashes will be distributed on Ash Wednesday and the following Sunday as a sign of penance. All Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence from meat. We will pray the Stations of the Cross on Sundays in Lent before Mass, starting at10:30. Your devout attendance is requested!
NEXT SUNDAY THERE WILL BE A SECOND COLLECTION for the Black and Indian Missions.
LOOKING AHEAD: This year our hunters have been busy and are ready to prepare a delightful wild game dinner on March 19 in the church hall at 12:30 PM. Menu: appetizers, bean soup, wild game venison, wild rice and vegetables, dessert Gundel crepes, coffee. Also a bottle of red wine per couple. Cost:$40., students $15. SPECIAL REQUEST from our local Hungarian Cleveland historian, Dr. Endre Szentkiralyi, who is now working on his third book about the Hungarian immigrant life and culture in Cleveland. If you so wish, please fill out two survey forms that are located in the back of the church. These surveys are also available on-line on the Bocskai Radio webpage for those who are more computer oriented, however please do not fill it out more than once.
