THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST, CORPUS CHRISTI was Sunday, June 22, 2025, and we held a procession around the church building giving thanks to God for one of his greatest gifts – the Eucharist, the true Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in our midst. This presence is not merely symbolic but involves the complete change of the substance of the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ, while the outward appearances (also called the “eucharistic species”) remain unchanged. We refer to this change as transubstantiation.
