PENTECOST SUNDAY: THE DESCENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Today’s celebration, the coming of the Holy Spirit, is the completion of the act of salvation,. The Hoy Spirit strengthens us in our faith and in our love, gives us courage to bear witness to our faith, directs the Church and guides its unity until the end of the world.
BAPTISM TODAY: Vivian Marie Slattery and Caroline Catherine Converse will receive the sacrament of Baptism today. Let us pray for them and their parents that they may preserve for eternal life the graces received today as children of God.
YOUTH MASS TODAY: As we celebrate parishioners’ birthdays each month with an agapé, today, Pentecost Sunday, we also celebrate the birthday of the Church by coming together for a goulash dinner in the hall. All are invited to this agapé following the Mass, where we will also honor those born in the beautiful month of May.
THE HUNGARIAN SCHOOL invite everyone to its end of the school year program this Monday at 6:30 PM. Each class will perform a skit based upon the stories about „King Mathias, the Just”.
PARISH FIELD TRIP: We are organizing a 2-day excursion to Michigan on June 23-24. We leave Saturday at 7AM and arrive in Frankenmuth, „Michigan’s Little Bavaria” for sightseeing, shopping, lunch, wine tasting, and dinner in Detroit’s Hungarian Rhapsody Restaurant. Lodging at nearby hotel. Sunday- Mass at Holy Cross Hungarian Church at 11 AM, light agapé afterwards. We will also visit the Henry Ford Museum arrive back home Sunday evening. Travel will be by comfortable motorcoach. Approximate cost $270.per person, all inclusive. To make reservations, please call Marika Zsula at 216-676-5863 by June 3.
MAY 27 – MEMORIAL REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR HOMELAND: Mass at 11Am at St. Emeric Church and commemorative program at 1PM in Sunset Memorial Park Chapel. (6265 Columbia Rd.)
