OUR TRADITIONAL MAY CROWNING will be Sunday, MAY 13, Mother’s Day. We ask the children to participate in this procession and dress appropriately, girls in white dress. Furthermore, those who will be receiving Holy Communion at St. Emeric for the first time, please meet with me on May 7 or May 11 during or after the scout/school activities.
PARISH FIELD TRIP: We are organizing a 2-day excursion to Michigan on June 23-24. Saturday we will leave at 7AM and arrive in Frankenmuth, „Michigan’s Little Bavaria” for sightseeing, lunch, winery visit, and evening dinner in Detroit’s Hungarian Rhapsody Restaurant with live music. Lodging at nearby hotel. Sunday we will celebrate Mass at Holy Cross Hungarian Church at 11 AM and meet with the parishioners at a light agapé afterwards. If time permits, we will also visit the Henry Ford Museum and arrive back home Sunday evening. Travel will be by comfortable motorcoach. Approximate cost $270.per person, all inclusive. PENTECOST GOULASH DINNER, MAY 20. After Mass, we will continue to celebrate the birth of the Church with a goulash dinner social in the parish hall. We ask, if you are able, to bring for dessert some pastry or fruit to share. There is no need to make reservations, just come and join your parishioners in the celebration.
CULTURAL PROGRAM-MAY 14, MONDAY BEGINNING AT 6:30PM. In conjunction with The Hungarian House of Washington and the Bocskai Radio, the Scout Center will host an evening of programs— there will be exhibits, lectures, films and discussion about the cultural treasures of the Hungarian minority found in the Carpathian Region of Ukraine. (in Hungarian).
