We burn the Branches from last year’s Palm Sunday Service to create the Ashes.
LENT BEGINS THIS WEDNESDAY, WITH ASH WEDNESDAY, a day of strict fast (3 meals but only one full meal for all Catholics between the age of 14 to 60) , and abstinence from meat. As a symbol of penance, ashes will be distributed on both Wednesday and the following Sunday after the Mass. Please note that Mass is at 6PM (evening) on Ash Wednesday. DURING LENT, STATIONS OF THE CROSS will be said every Sunday at 10:30AM before Mass. Please try to attend and participate in this beautiful Lenten devotion.
