FROM THE DESK OF FR. BONA: (1) Today is the Divine Mercy Sunday when we recall the motivation of God for the great work of redemption – his Infinite Mercy. In the context of our fallen world we may say that everything that God does for us is an expression of His mercy, but it is especially profound in the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Below is the prayer through which we can express our gratitude to God and entrust ourselves to the Divine Mercy.

(2) As you could see below, next Sunday on April 19th, we will not have our 11AM Mass here at St. Emeric, but it will be held at the Shrine of St. Elizabeth at 11:30AM. I hope that many of you will join us also for the meal afterwards.

ACT OF ENTRUSTMENT TO THE DIVINE MERCY: O Most Merciful Jesus, Your goodness is infinite, and the treasures of Your grace inexhaustible. I trust boundlessly in Your mercy, which is above all Your works. I consecrate myself to You completely and unreservedly, so as to live and strive for Christian perfection. I want to spread Your mercy by performing works of mercy, both spiritual and corporal, laboring especially for the conversion of sinners, bringing consolation to those in need, to the sick and the suffering.  Guard me then, O Jesus, as Your own possession and Your own glory. Though I sometimes tremble with fear, aware of my weakness, at the same time I have boundless trust in Your mercy. Oh, that all people would come to know the infinite depths of Your mercy, while there is still time, so that they may place their trust in Your merciful love and glorify You forever. Amen.

THE CHAPLET OF THE DIVINE MERCY:

ON THE OUR FATHER BEADS: Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
