JUNE 18, SATURDAY, after the 5 p.m. Mass we had the slide show presentation about our pilgrimage experience to the shrine of Csiksomlyo, as well as a traditional Transylvanian dinner.  Thank you all for coming and supporting this event.  Your interest is much appreciated.

June 24, JOHN THE BAPTIST: In addition to celebrating the birth of Mary, Mother of Jesus, the Church celebrates the birth of St. John the Baptist. In selecting the date the Doctors of the Church rely on Holy Scripture. According to the gospels, John was six months older than Jesus, therefore his birthday is assigned to June 24. This also followed the Roman tradition.

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY SUMMER, AND NICE AND RESTFUL VACATIONS!  However, please remember that vacation time does not mean vacation from Mass on Sunday. Jesus always is waiting for you.

NEXT SUNDAY SECOND COLLECTION, also called Peter’s Pence, for the Holy Father.
