KING SAINT STEPHEN PICNIC – AUGUST 18, 2024

KING SAINT STEPHEN PICNIC was held by Cleveland’s St. Emeric parish on August 18, 2024. The day began with Mass in Hungarian. This was followed by picnic food available in the Church Hall. There was Hungarian style sausage, stuffed cabbage, venison goulash, along with tomato, pepper & onion stew (lecsó), lángos (elephant ear), cabbage & noodles, assorted pastries and for the children hotdogs, chips and ice-cream treats too. Once the rain stopped and the weather cleared, guests could enjoy their food at picnic tables on the parish grounds.  The traditional blessing of the new bread, music inside and outdoors, a raffle and a dance presentation by the Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble rounded out the afternoon festivities. A good time was had by all!
